Welcome home, Aiden! (January 1, 2018 – January 6, 2018)
We made the ridiculous decision to book a flight on January 1, 2018 at noon after having celebrated NYE in Dublin. Needless to say, we arrived at the airport, still drunk, with a tiny bit of time to spare to run to the restroom to vomit prior to boarding the plane.
Hello, Paris!
My first few days of 2018 were spent touring around Paris.
We saw:
L’Arche de Triumphe
Notre Dame (Natalie also arrived in Paris this day, heyyyyy)
Pere Lachaise Cemetery (Oscar Wilde’s grave)
Musee D’Orsay, as well as The Jewish Museum
The Eiffel Tour (From many different viewpoints! We stayed in a hotel for a few nights with a balcony view of this beauty – Thanks, Scott!)
Montmartre and Sacre-Coeur
Le Champ-Elysees
La Conciergerie (This is where Marie Antoinette was kept during the French Revolution up until she was executed in 1793)
The food and wine in Paris were amazing and the company was even better. Farewell, sweet Aiden! Until we meet again.
Where will my next stop be? Here’s a hint: its waaarrmmm. You’ll have to keep checking in on the blog to find out!
XO – Kristiane
